Tommy Walsh Attracts Crowds to aqua~lec Launch

Celebrity builder Tommy Walsh launched the plumbing franchise aqua-lec on the opening day of the British and International Franchise exhibition held recently at London’s Olympia. Crowds gathered to watch Tommy raise a glass of champagne to the new franchise and wish it every success. “People are crying out for good and reputable plumbers in this country”, he said. “Aqua-lec training has all the essentials and I can see it working very well”.

Having previously visited the company’s head office in West Drayton, and inspected its award-winning training facilities, Tommy felt able to give his approval to aqua-lec and recommend it as a sound investment for prospective franchisees. At the exhibition, he remained on stand for most of the day to offer visitors advice on aqua-lec and emphasise the need for proper training.

“We were very gratified by the response to aqua-lec at the exhibition”, said managing director, John Davidson. “There is no doubt that people are interested in a plumbing franchise that is able to concentrate on general plumbing with the backing and expertise of an established franchisor who can offer realistic expectations, full marketing and business support and a strong cross referral network.”

aqua-lec has been launched by gas-elec Safety Systems, the company that successfully pioneered combined inspections for gas and electrical safety, and built the business to over 100 franchisees and a multi-million pound turnover in less than nine years.  The new aqua-lec franchise provides the opportunity for technically minded men and women to take advantage of the gap caused by a national shortage of nearly 30,000 plumbers which, says the company, has created a pent-up need in the housing market.
